Tierney, Gus, Alessandra and the Air & Space Museum

One Sunday we drove into DC and met up with Tierney and Gus and their little girl, Alessandra. We met at one of our favorite Mexican restaurants, The Cactus Cantina. It was the first time we'd met Alessandra in person. She is absolutley adorable! She looks like Gus, but with Tierney's facial expressions.

The waitress took a group photo for us. I love how Alessandra is smiling and waving. And of course, our two are hamming it up in the front.

Jenn and Tierney with their kiddos. Alessandra is focused on Tierney's ice cream.

After lunch we went to the Smithsonian Air and Space Museum. The kids love the hands on section. Lilli was in heaven - running around pushing buttons, not even waiting to see what they did before seeking out another button to push. Tipton took a more liesurely approach. He and Daddy took their time and really explored everything. Dave is great about explaining the science behind things.

I think the highlight for both kids was getting to sit in the little cessna plane.

They had a little demo/lecture on how the mechanics of flight. We were in the first row. And Lilli ws cracking the lecturer up. He would ask a question and Lilli would raise her hand and when he called on her she would say "I'm three!" Every single time. It was hysterical.
