USA - Week 2, in NC

We drove down to NC on Monday, the 12th, and went straight to the Killmeyer's house. It was great to see them all! Amy and I have known each other for almost 12 years. And actually, I met her husband, Chris, first at their game store. Our kids have pretty much grown up together (well, until we moved to Sweden...) Mark is seven. The girls, Leanne and Karen, are four months younger than Tipton. And Lilli is, well she's the youngest. Mark and Tipton like to play superhero games and being silly. The girls liked having a 'baby' to play with - they were like little mothers to Lilli! We were all having such a good time that I forgot to take pictures until it was time to leave. So here are the kids on the couch, right before we left. (The Killmeyer kids are already in their jammies.) Karen, Leanne, Lilli, Tipton and Mark.

The next day we met Jo (our realtor) and Milli & family (husband - John and kids - Rowan and Niall) for lunch at "our" Mexican restaurant. We spent most of our days in NC driving around with Jo, looking at houses. (We will most likely buy a new house when we move back to NC.)

The next day we met Milli, Rowan and Niall at a park. After playing on the playground for a while, we decided to walk down to the lake and feed the ducks and fish. Rowan and Tipton looking for fish:

Dave taught the boys how to spit into the water so the fish think they're getting food.

Nial and Lilli think spitting is fun.

One night we met Tipton's best "NC friend," CJ, at Bullwinkles. Tipton and CJ met at preschool. They are, to quote CJ's mom, "like Beavis and Butthead." Too funny.

They boys had a blast climbing through the tunnels and playing racing games.

The boys, sitting on a bench outside Bullwinkles. They each got their balls from one of those 'claw' machines - by themselves!

The whole gang. Kiley (CJ's older sister) is in the back. Jessie (CJ's brother) is next to Lilli - he's a few months older than Lilli.

When we lived in NC I belonged to a playgroup called The Supermommies. Technically, I still belong. I am active online, but don't attend any of the playdates. (hee hee.) Anyway, while we were in NC my good Supermommy friends threw us a party. Lisa P was the hostess and she went all out! Lots of yummy munchies - she even had crafts for the kids. The kids loved getting to see all of their friends (almost as much as I did!) Lilli and Niall hung out in the playroom, specifically at the play kitchen. Here Lilli is making coffee for Niall.

It was a great trip to NC. It was sooooo good to see all of our friends. We are really lucky to have such great friends. It was much too short a trip!
